A Coincidence
I get half an hour to leave my office for lunch everyday. I work in midtown NYC, and so i venture through all the touristy areas every day. My first week at the job, my co-worker and I went to Rockefeller Center to watch people fall. I called my girlfriend to tell her this…her reaction "Watch people fall?!?"…my response, "yeah, and it was disappointing because only one person did and it wasn’t even good."
This past Monday I stayed closer to my office. My co-worker and I went to the free ice skating rink at Bryant Park. There people were falling like crazy. As we were oohing and aahing, I heard someone else echoing. Not five feet away from us were two other workers on their lunch break. I turn to them…"Watching people fall?" One responds, "Yeah bro, every day…for lunch. It’s better when it is warmer out and water goes flying when they fall."
I turned to my co-worker and said "That’s like the bizarro version of you and me…although they’re just a bit more sadistic." Maybe sometime next week we’ll hang a bullseye on the rink by where we are standing.

I do that a lot here in Munich, Germany. Here it can be funnier becuase some people drink “Gluehwein” (it’s a Christkindl hot red wine) to stay warm, but then they get too tipsy to stay standing ;o)

We always walked home together after work, here in Russia ice is not just somewhere, its everywhere… well, I had fun watching him fall, for a week in a row ! MY ! the more careful he got the more frequent he fell. well, anyways, the last time he fell, he cracked his rib.

hey, I just learned how to skates 2 weeks ago and it was great! I can’t remember how many times I fall I even got bruises in my arms and back huhuh but it was worth it. Now, after work zooooom off I go.. to Chester creek Lagon. Here in Anchorage you dont need to line up to skates and most of all its for free!!! I always bring my skates wherever I go it’s always in my car

I sure did miss the winter this year coz i was down here in florida (Ft Lauderdale area) every fall to winter (I work with a Snowbird couple) But last year i sure i did not because icy water dropping from the eaves in front door was the reason why we did spent our winter visiting hospital and rehab instead of a tropical weather in florida. The lady of the man i was taking care of slipped out and twisted her ankle. Well, i got a mixed reaction of wither i laugh or cry in time of the incident. Anyway shopping is my priority. And the old man is dead.

My daughter is a competitive figure skater and I sit there in the rink early mornings and in the afternoon after school and believe me…..watching kids fall may they be public skaters or figure skaters isn’t fun at all! Especially when they get those big bumps and bruises on their little bodies! Try ice-skating, most people doesn’t consider it a sport, but if you know someone who’s serious about their training and knows what it takes to be good at it, you’ll find yourself respecting figure skaters for being brave and having the guts to even attempt to jump on thin ice with those skates!
