Hot Cocoa Packets
So this is bugging me and I felt the need to share it with my imaginary audience. I just heated up water, looking forward to drinking a cup of my 99.9% caffeine free Hershey’s hot chocolate. As all hot cocoa/chocolate packets say, I heated the water, and this time, for the first time ever, I measured an actual 6 ounces. Yes this time the hot cocoa didn’t taste all watery. However…6 ounces barely makes it to half a mug!!! Seriously, if you’re craving a cup of hot cocoa, do you want only half a mug. This means that you need to use 1.5-2 packets just to get a full mug of hot cocoa.
So to the hot cocoa makers of the world…yes you Swiss Miss, you’re included too… make larger packets!

using two packets to fill up the mug doesn’t bug me at all. someone crapping in the staff toilet without making sure the toilet bowl is clean for the next person is enough to ruin my morning.

They’re probably not going to make bigger packets, instead, they’ll start making smaller ones, but still only having 8 packets in a box. So rather than having to use two packets to fill up a mug, you’ll need 4. At least with Hershey’s Cocoa, you can always add more actual cocoa to it, if you have the powder, that is…..

Suggestion. Skip the water and use milk. Or use water and top it off with heavy cream or half and half. Or better yet don’t use the crappy packet stuff and try for some real hot cocoo…I’m kind of obsessed with Dagoba Coco at the moment. It’s kind of pricey but you use very little so cost per cup is lower.

That’s definitely annoying, although I do think using the milk is always better. And real cocoa. But I’m going to try measuring next time I feel cheap with the milk.

you will be more disillussioned if u try italian expresso. but just a food for your thought, quantity doesn’t mean quality. i think it’s more delicious (for the “GOLOSI”) CHOCOLATE with water than WATER with chocolate.
