Business Cards
A couple of notes on business cards:
1) I was looking for storage the other day. I went into one place and the clerk at the counter handed me the manager’s business card. The name on the business card was "Katie." That was it. Katie is a great name to use by itself when you your third grade teacher is taking attendance. However, Katie by itself on a business card when you are a manager is not considered the most professional thing to do.
2) I was on the train into the city to visit my girlfriend this past weekend when some random 40 year old woman darted over to my seat to ask me for my business card. I had none, but essentially she wanted to meet for drinks. I politely declined. I’ll give her credit for originality though.

LOL…asking a business card to have a drink with you? wow…never thought of that way before…maybe I can use the trick sometimes…hehehehe

lol….my boyfriend used the business card trick when i first met him. he didn’t ask me for mine though. instead he handed out his. it’s still making me smile when i remember how he did it. =)

Funny 40 year old lady! A cut-throat attempt for a drink though…A she got it! Ouch.. Must be hard for you to give her a NO huh?

“Katie” is a storage nickname.
I do not know, but is there a polite way to decline an invitation face to face? You hurt that lonely woman’s feelings. She just wanted somebody to talk to and you were the first one she saw. You and your girlfriend could have gone out with her for a few drinks. 40 year old women need some loving too. (bad boy)
